We are excited to announce that we will be welcoming Andrea Ritter to the Los Angeles Region team as the new Disaster Program Manager for Territory 5.

As the newest member of the Disaster Cycle Services team, Andrea will engage in capacity growth for disaster responders and partner with local emergency managers and community partners to facilitate service delivery, and support regional and national disaster response when called upon. She joins T5 Disaster Program Supervisor Ryan Chan and Long Beach Chapter Executive Veronica Garcia Davalos in reaching the PrepareLA goals in communities like Huntington Park, Pico Rivera, Bell and Bell Gardens. Her home base will be the Commerce office.

Born in Upstate NY, Andrea Ritter received her Bachelor’s Degree in Rhode Island and her Masters in Boston. She is a self-described “peripatetic dedicated to a life of service work” having served both as an AmeriCorps in Providence and in the Peace Corps on the island of Timor Leste.

Andrea has been a Red Crosser for three years having spent two of those years on the Hawaiian Islands. Andrea believes those that have the ability to make a difference have the responsibility to do so. And for her, making a difference is what creates a meaningful life.

Welcome, Andrea, to the Red Cross LA team!
