What is your current professional role? I am the CEO and co-founder of Cloudbreak Health, a leading healthcare disparity solutions company on a mission to #HumanizeHealthcare. Cloudbreak is currently used in more than 1,800 healthcare venues nationwide over 100,000 times per month via over 14,000 video endpoints making it one of the largest digital health installed bases in the nation.

What was your first job? Washing dishes in high school. I feel like everything I needed to know in life came from the restaurant business. I ended up working my way up to sauté cook by the time I graduated, and then I worked as a waiter during college. These jobs taught me that no job was ever below me and that there is honor in service.

Where did you grow up? Buffalo, NY. Buffalo was an incredible city to grow up in: great people, great food and a place of humble beginnings.

What is a fun fact about you or a secret skill you have? Hmmm. I used to play guitar out in coffee houses here in LA.  Making music has always been a creative outlet that I really enjoy.

What is your personal connection to the Red Cross? For me, it is about my kids, setting a good example for them and giving them a place that can truly show them the meaning of the word community. I believe in the power of human connection, and the Red Cross is the best embodiment I have seen in terms of philanthropy.  It’s one of the only ways you can be part of a national organization but participate locally and have an immediate impact locally. Whether it’s donating blood, installing fire alarms or working disaster relief — when a community is in need, the Red Cross shows up, no questions asked. It’s a pure mission.
