Patrick Mulcahy, a 36-year volunteer with the American Red Cross San Gabriel Pomona Valley Chapter was recently honored by the Los Angeles County EMS Agency for being continuously certified as an Emergency Medical Technician for 30 years. Patrick has been a first aid and CPR instructor, taught swimming and lifeguarded at his local YMCA as a water safety instructor, and served as a member of the First Aid Committee and chair of First Aid Services.
He is currently the Communications unit leader and a first aider for the annual Tournament of Roses Parade and is a former Deputy Incident Commander for the parade. Patrick is retired from the United States Navy as a Captain after 41 years of service and continues to serve in uniform as an unpaid staff officer. He is employed by the Northrop Grumman Corporation.
